Explanation

The statistics on the education of the population are based on the national register of individuals Befolkningens utbildning – commonly referred to as Utbildningsregistret. The classification of levels is in accordance with the Swedish Education Nomenclature (SUN). The register is updated annually.
The Education Register (UREG) as of the version of 2001-01-01 regarding the year 2000, has been subjected to major changes to improve quality, which has led to an interruption in the time series, which means that any comparisons with earlier versions must be undertaken with great caution.
