Explanation

Activity compensation is granted to individuals aged 19-29 who have had their work capacity reduced by at least 25% over a period of at least one year. Sickness benefits are granted to individuals aged 30-64 with a permanently reduced work capacity i.e. in the foreseeable future. Among those receiving long-term sickness benefits there are, however, also persons receiving sickness benefits for a limited period of time.
