Unemployment statistics from the Public Employment Service comprise jobseekers without jobs who actively apply for jobs available on the labour market and can immediately take up employment, and who are not participating in employment policy programmes. The definition is different from that used by Statistics Sweden in labour force surveys (AKU).
Long-term unemployed:unemployed for more than 6 months for persons aged under 25 yearsunemployed for more than 12 months for persons aged over 25 years
