The surveyed stock comprises all hotels, motels, boarding houses, youth hostels and course and conference centres with at least 5 rooms or 9 beds, and holiday villages with at least 5 cabins or 20 beds. All STF-affiliated youth hostels are included, regardless of size. Only facilities letting on a commercial basis are included. The population also comprises campgrounds.
Facilities temporarily used for other operations – as refugee reception centres for example – are not included in the occupancy rates, but are included in the total capacity.
