The annual statistics of municipal tax rates and tax base are based on administrative data from the Swedish National Tax Board. As of year 2000, church taxes are not included in municipal taxation, since church parishes within the Swedish church no longer form municipalities, but are parts of the religious community of the Swedish Church. This means that they can no longer collect taxes, but instead have the right to collect a church fee.
